Summary
This issue is the third installment of Marvel's 2004 Nightcrawler third-volume solo series, and the third part of the four-part arc "The Devil Inside," subtitled "Fourteen Demons." Kurt Wagner, the Nightcrawler, visits the hospital alone to see the boy Seth, trying to make sense of the thirteen consecutive deaths of child patients at Metro General Hospital; Seth firmly believes that his attending physician, Dr. Childs, is a good man and that a demon is the killer. Meanwhile, the nurse Palmer urgently informs Kurt that Dr. Childs is being attacked by Seth's "aunt." Using his teleportation power, Kurt brings this Mrs. Walker into a church, forces the demon out of her body, and then takes her with him into the otherdimensional realm of Limbo. There, the woman posing as the aunt reveals the truth: she is not Seth's relative, and Dr. Childs has been using the deaths of these thirteen children to release demons—only the intended number was fourteen, and the last one is still trapped by Seth. This issue sustains a mood of suspense and the supernatural, while also featuring appearances by X-Men members Beast, Storm, Wolverine, and the White Queen.
Editor's review

Reading tips
