Series
Rurouni Kenshin Complete Edition is the complete edition reorganized and supplemented by the manga artist Nobuhiro Watsuki from the original Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story, running to 22 volumes and including the serialized main text, additions, and author commentary. This is Volume 18 of the complete edition; the subtitle is taken from "Takani Megumi," and the content as a whole falls in the climax of the Jinchū arc: to take revenge on Himura Kenshin, Yukishiro Enishi plans and launches the operation called "Jinchū," leading the "Six Comrades" into a death struggle with Sagara Sanosuke, Myōjin Yahiko, Saitō Hajime, and others before appearing in person, wielding a Japanese sword made in China, the "wadō," and employing "wadō techniques," driven by the resentment that his sister Yukishiro Tomoe was killed by Kenshin, to launch his "ultimate revenge, the true meaning of Jinchū" against Kenshin. This volume advances through such confrontations and conflicts and is one of the most tense stretches near the end of the series. The complete edition reorganizes the artwork and text overall from the original, so it can be read for following the threads of the Jinchū arc or kept as a collector's edition for revisiting this Meiji swordsman story.

Editor's review

Who it's for

A good fit for

Not a good fit for

Reading tips

FAQ
