Volume 3 of Rurouni Kenshin: Complete Edition continues the story set in early Meiji-era Tokyo. This volume centers on the female physician Takani Megumi: as the only person who knows the refining method for the new type of opium known as "Spider's Web," she is confined and controlled by the industrialist Kanryu. To free Megumi from Kanryu's control, Himura Kenshin, along with Myojin Yahiko and Sagara Sanosuke, heads to the Kanryu estate and faces off against the Oniwabanshu, the covert operative group led by Shinomori Aoshi. This volume collects the assault on the Kanryu residence and the chapters involving the Oniwabanshu, serving as the key concluding portion of the "Kanryu arc." The Complete Edition features newly drawn covers and frontispiece illustrations based on the original serialized version, includes the "Kenshin Repenciled" manuscripts, fully reproduces the color pages, and adds a bonus short story at the end. This is Volume 3 of the series and should be read after the first two volumes.
