Haunt is a monthly series created by Robert Kirkman, writer of The Walking Dead, and Todd McFarlane, father of Spawn, published by Image Comics in 2009. The story centers on two mismatched brothers: the younger, Daniel Kilgore, an imperfect priest, and the elder, Kurt Kilgore, a top agent of the government secret agency 'The Agency.' After Kurt is murdered, his ghost haunts Daniel, and the two bodies can merge, with ectoplasm weaving the black-and-white body of 'Haunt.' Daniel is thus dragged into the intelligence world full of murder and conspiracy, tracking the killer and unraveling the mystery under his brother's ghostly guidance. This volume is the series' volume 3 (released December 2009): Daniel is already deep in Kurt's secret life of espionage and killing, and the brothers finally meet someone who can explain their 'otherworldly situation,' as the secrets of what Haunt is and why it works as it does are revealed. Beyond the action scenes, the story further reveals the old emotional entanglements among Daniel, Kurt, and Kurt's widow Amanda, and plants the seeds of a traitor within the agency.
