Bloodline Vol. 4

Bloodline is an original full-color fantasy comic by the artist Ai Ou (real name Ge Chongwei), first serialized in the magazine Comic Show and released as collected volumes by New Century Publishing House under its "Comic Show Fine Books Series." The story unfolds in a fictional world where multiple factions—the Bloodline, the Holy Land, and the Black Tower—wield power, centering on the entanglements of the vampire girl Lilo Ai with her allies and enemies. This is Volume 4 of the series, continuing the campus vampire attack from the previous volume: Chong Yin and Fei Hu investigate to uncover the truth, and as the field narrows and suspects come into focus, they find the matter far more complicated than it appears—behind the forbidden magic "Daydream Noon" lies a grand conspiracy involving many factions. This volume collects chapters 20 through 25, comprising six chapters: "A Thousand Miles Between Hearts (Parts 2 and 3)," "The Collapsing Legacy (Parts 1, 2, and 3)," and "The Double Oath." Characters including Chong Yin, Leng Sha, Lilo, and Last are all drawn into the vortex, and a great battle is imminent. As a representative early Chinese full-color comic, it is distinguished by dense fight choreography and linearly driven ensemble storytelling, and is best read in order.
