Bloodline Volume 10

Bloodline is a long-running fantasy comic by the artist Ai Ou; its main story, "The Holy Demon Phantom Chapter," was serialized in color comic form in Comic Show and Comic World. The story is set in a fictional world modeled on the real world, where supernatural beings and humans coexist: Last, the final elder of the bloodline on the Eurasian continent, in order to fulfill his daughter Lilo Ai's wish to "walk in the sunlight," unleashes the forbidden magic "Imaginary Daylight," and thereby draws the bloodline, the Holy Land, and the wizards of the Black Tower into years of war. The youth Ye Ren, who aspires to become a vampire hunter, is accidentally caught up in the fierce battle between the bloodline girl Lilo Ai and the Holy Land, and becomes the new bloodline "Ye Ren"; his close friend Hui Zhe, however, joins the Holy Land, and the two thereafter take completely opposite paths. This volume is the tenth of "The Holy Demon Phantom Chapter," collecting Episodes 60 through 65: Lilo Ai and Ye Ren decide to follow the map of the "Holy Demon Phantom Plan" in the treasure chamber to Italy in search of bloodline companions, but all the entrances and exits of the Black Tower are sealed, so the two can only pass through Lilo's portal and run head-on into the Holy Land's Oracle troops already waiting outside, beginning the "Red Gate Battle" of one against a hundred. This volume also includes some previously unpublished character designs and behind-the-scenes material on its creation.
