Summary
This issue is Green Arrow (Vol. 3) #73, part of DC Comics' 2001–2007 run, released April 11, 2007, with a June 2007 cover date. Its story title is "Jericho, Part One: The Long Fall Only Hurts When It's Over," the first chapter of the "Jericho" trilogy. In the story, Oliver Queen serves as mayor of Star City while secretly funding the controversial mercenary super-team the Outsiders, triggering a political scandal. Citizens demand a recall election, and Police Chief Brian Nudocerdo campaigns to replace him. Hearing of the scandal, Oliver's biological son Connor Hawke returns to Star City and immediately encounters a new metahuman calling himself Breaker. Oliver rushes to help, but father and son, reunited at last, clash over the scandal. Green Arrow, Speedy (Mia Dearden), and Connor then investigate Breaker's origins and discover he has teamed with Mastman, Monk, Pick'n'Roll, and others—all secretly employed by Oliver's old foe Brick, whose hired crew also includes the archenemy Merlyn. Black Canary (Dinah Laurel Lance) arrives in Star City this issue and offers to fight at their side. Written by Judd Winick, penciled by Scott McDaniel, and inked by Andy Owens, this issue marks the start of Green Arrow's late-run arc of mayoral crisis and alliance with Black Canary.
Editor's review

Reading tips
