This is Volume 2 of a twelve-volume collection in the "14" series. Based on available sources, the series is closely tied to the Smallville tie-in comics: after the TV series Smallville ended with its tenth season, DC Comics launched the continuation comic Smallville Season Eleven in 2012, written by series showrunner Bryan Q. Miller, continuing Clark Kent's life after the show's finale—officially taking on the Superman identity, advancing his relationship with Lois Lane, and facing new crises in Metropolis and from new villains. Note that this is a typical collected volume; the volumes are arranged by number, and their contents do not correspond one-to-one with the original single-issue volumes.
