Uncanny Avengers (2013) #7

Summary
This volume is issue #7 of Marvel's 2013 series Uncanny Avengers, the official opening of the "Ragnarok Now" arc. The previous issue used a flashback to recount the past of the young Thor, Kang the Conqueror, and Apocalypse around the axe Jarnbjorn; this issue returns to the present: near the sun, Apocalypse's illegitimate son Genocide seeks to inherit his father's position and demands Apocalypse's armor from the Celestials, only to be interrupted by the Uru-Apocalypse twins Uriel and Eimin, believed long gone; Uriel swings the axe and, shockingly, strikes down the Celestials. Meanwhile on Earth, the Avengers Unity Squad is dealing with the fallout from its first public appearance: S.H.I.E.L.D. addresses Rogue's accidental killing of the Grim Reaper in combat, and she is temporarily pulled from field duty; the rift between the Scarlet Witch and Rogue becomes public; and the romantic entanglements among Wonder Man, the Wasp, and Alex Summers continue. Captain America and Sunfire, aboard the space station Sword, face a sudden powerful foe, while Thor races toward the wreckage of the crashed station. The lofty rhetoric of species unity and the squad's internal fracture advance side by side—the most notable tension of this issue. This is issue #7 of the series; Chinese-edition publication details could not be verified.
Editor's review

Reading tips
FAQ
