Lord of the Flood is a long xianxia novel of the cultivation-civilization genre by the web novelist Feng Xian. Serialization began on Qidian Chinese on November 7, 2019, and concluded in September 2022; the book runs about 5.46 million characters and more than 1,700 chapters, and together with Lord of the Cold Heaven and Honored Lord of the Abyss it forms the author’s “Xianxia Trilogy.” The world is built after the “rise of the human race”: since Emperor Chengyang raised his army six thousand years ago, humanity has defeated the demons and become master of the Nine Provinces and Five Domains, dating years by the “Chengyang calendar.” The opening is set in Chengyang year 6121, when floods rage in Ningyang Commandery of Yangzhou and a demon king stirs up chaos, leaving refugees displaced. The youth Yun Hong comes from an ordinary family; having witnessed floods and demon-beast attacks as a child and seen the immortal Xu Kai cut down a demon with a single sword, he resolves to learn the sword and enters the Donghe Martial Academy, ascending step by step from the ten stages of mortal martial arts—body tempering, tendon changing, meridian condensing, and so on—into the true world of cultivation. The novel follows Yun Hong’s growth as its thread: taking Yang Lou as his master, joining the Ultimate Dao Sect, fighting bloody battles in the beast tide of Changbei Commandery, being enfeoffed as a king at Feiyu Peak, then ascending to the Great Thousand World and making his name in the Immortal Continent, and finally entering sagehood through the way of the sword, practicing the Nine Paths of Reincarnation, building an inner cosmos to prove immortality, leading humanity against the invasion of the Chuyuan race, and contending with powerful enemies such as the Chaos Ancient God Emperor. The scope expands from a county and a commandery to the Great Thousand World, the Suigu Universe, and the Ancestral Demon Universe; its theme is that “the four quarters are not at peace; someone is simply guarding them in blood,” writing of the inheritance and protection of human heroes.

对喜欢“正统仙侠+硬核升级”的读者来说，《洪主》是烽仙仙侠三部曲中体量最扎实的一部。它继承《寒天帝》的宏大格局，又把视角落在一个小县城少年的成长上：开篇不急着让主角开挂，而是先写洪水、灾民和粥棚，让“人族天下”的设定不再是一句口号，而是需要一代代人以血肉守护的东西。 作者的强项是修行体系的层次感：从凡俗武道十重（锻体、易筋、凝脉、无漏、通灵、归窍），到修仙一脉的元海、真丹、灵识、紫府、星辰、归宙，再到道君、圣皇、不朽的更高层次，境界划分清晰，每一次突破都有前因后果，读起来有“升一级、见一重天”的踏实感。主线始终紧扣“守护”，亲情线、师门线、道侣线都写得比较克制。 缺点也明显：中段节奏偏慢，主角“在家修炼”的段落较多，部分老读者会觉得憋闷；五百多万字的长度对新手不太友好，更适合已经在网文里读过几百万字、追求“量大管饱”的书荒者。想在长假里沉浸式追更的读者，可以把它当作一次长线阅读。
