Martial God of the Seven Realms

Seven Realms God of War is a long-form Eastern fantasy novel by Ye Zhifan, serialized on Chuangshi Chinese Network from November 2013 to its completion in June 2018. It runs to roughly 6.42 million characters across more than 2,200 chapters. The story opens as Ye Tian, a special forces soldier from China, is transported to the Divine Land, a continent where martial prowess reigns supreme. There, a warrior's talent is determined by his martial soul, which is graded in ascending tiers of red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and purple; to lack a martial soul is to be deemed useless. Ye Tian reaches the age of awakening at fifteen, only to discover on the appointed day that he has no martial soul at all, making him a "worthless cripple" mocked by his neighbors and stripped of his betrothal. A chance encounter leads him to a forbidden manual left behind by an ancient sorcerer, and he cultivates a devouring constitution that lets him refine the martial souls of others or of fierce beasts for his own use, setting him on an unprecedented path of devouring evolution. He leaves the tiny Ye family village, first joining the Bloody Garment Guard and then the Divine Star Sect, rising from an outer sect disciple to a true disciple and then a holy son, making his name in sect tournaments and the contests of the Supreme Rankings. He ascends to the Nine Heavens Palace, receives the God of War inheritance, cultivates the Nine Revolutions Battle Body, comprehends the intent of the Taiji Blade, and proves his way through the blade, sweeping across the Three Blade Seas, the Chaotic Star Sea, and the Five Great Divine Academies. In its later stretch the story expands from a struggle over one realm into a war across seven: the demon realm invades the chaotic realm, and Ye Tian fights side by side to the death with the Wild Lord, the Heavenly Emperor, and others. In the direst straits, with friends and kin falling one after another, he breaks through to the Emperor realm, slays the Demon Emperor with the ultimate blade way, and opens a "Blade Realm" independent of chaos itself, restoring to life the comrades who fell in battle and becoming the Blade Emperor revered across all realms. Built on progressively ascending martial realms, a vast seven-realm cosmos, and dense battle sequences, the book is a quintessential leveling-up, invincible-hero power fantasy.
