Martial Tomb

Martial Tomb is an Eastern fantasy novel by the author Lonely Drifter, serialized on Qidian from October 2013 and completed in 2016. It is one of the longer-running and more popular works in Qidian's fantasy category. The book is built around a core premise of "bloodline martial cultivation": in the primordial era, when humanity was newly born, ferocious beasts, savage beasts, and demonic beasts roamed the world and fed on humans, while humans struggled like ants in the cracks. He awakens in a cold ancient tomb that has drifted through the starry sky for endless years, carrying the family-heirloom bronze bay leaf "Martial Codex," and sets out on the path of martial cultivation amid a declining family and looming crises, gradually exploring the secrets behind the tomb and the bronze bay leaf. The work constructs a progressive ladder of cultivation realms—Transcending the Mortal, Blood Sea, Opening the Apertures, Dharma Aspect, True Spirit, Atavism, Cave Heaven, Stars, and Proving the Dao—and on this foundation extends a grand architecture of eternal sky-ships, secret realms, the myriad worlds, and expeditions beyond the heavens, linking together the themes of personal revenge, family protection, and the survival of the clan, forming a narrative scope that ranges from a single town and city to the star domains of the myriad worlds. In terms of overall style, the book is driven by densely satisfying battles and realm breakthroughs, supplemented by systematic setting explanations, and is a typical male-oriented long-form fantasy. Note that Martial Tomb is a web-serialized work, with no formally published standalone volumes; digital reading and derivative forms such as audiobooks and comics are its main channels of circulation.
