Defenders Vol. 3

Summary
This volume collects issue #3 of the 2017 Defenders series by Brian Michael Bendis and artist David Marquez, published by Marvel on July 12, 2017, 22 pages. Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist are forced together by the return of Willis Stryker, the Diamondback. In the previous issue, the four pursued Diamondback but were shot from a rooftop by Frank Castle, the Punisher; fortunately, the bullets were non-lethal rounds that only paralyzed. This issue opens with Diamondback confronting Felicia Hardy, the Black Cat, whose rescue of Luke Cage makes her position in the conflict increasingly clear. The four heroes then wake in a hospital, puzzled as to why the Punisher stopped them from pursuing Diamondback and asking how Diamondback returned from the dead, regrouping with ample funds and a new drug. Harlem locals, a teacher, and Misty Knight each recount how Luke Cage and Diamondback went from boyhood friends to enemies: they fell out over a girl, Reva Connors, and Diamondback framed Luke, sending him to prison, where an experiment gave him unbreakable skin. Daredevil and Luke Cage follow a lead to the Punisher and fight him, while Jessica and Iron Fist tail Diamondback and discover he commands power they never expected.
Editor's review

FAQ
