Official Virtue is a long officialdom-themed novel by the web author Aobiye. It was first serialized on Qidian Chinese Network and has been completed, with 838 chapters in total. The protagonist is Yang Bin, known as "Lord Bin," a young clerk who has just entered a government office and is working hard to secure "regularization." Unlike ordinary officialdom novels, this work adds a large number of supernatural elements to the realistic backdrop of personnel affairs and power struggles: the protagonist unexpectedly gains a special ability called the "Official Virtue System," which allows him to use various means—X-ray vision, time reversal, light distortion, interstitial space, healing, invisibility, and remote viewing—to maneuver step by step through a complex web of relationships and interests. The book opens with "Volume 01: The Road to Regularization," beginning with the protagonist's "flashing"-like change of fortune and unfolding around the Dongxing Group, exchanges of interests, a investment promotion bureau meeting, internal strife, and other plotlines. The core premise is "merit points": the protagonist must accumulate merit according to the system's rules in order to exchange them for power and room for promotion, creating a unique narrative logic of "establishing rules through superpowers and exercising means through strong power." The author stitches together power maneuvering, workplace ecology, and exaggerated power-fantasy imagination, creating a protagonist who acts arrogantly and whose catchphrase is "Lord Bin's fist is the rule." Due to its subject matter and explicit content, the book was taken down during serialization, becoming the author's third work removed by the platform. It therefore currently circulates mainly through unofficial sites and electronic texts, and there is no information on an officially published print edition.
