Summary
This volume collects issue #4 of Daredevil Vol. 3 (2011–2014), written by Mark Waid and published in English on September 21, 2011, with art by Marcos Martín. In this issue, Matt Murdock's reopened legal career in New York enters a new phase: he takes on several very different cases, fighting for his clients in court and at the law office by day, and moving through the streets of Hell's Kitchen as Daredevil by night. The story unfolds through several relatively self-contained vignettes, combining a legal thread around a new client with action sequences in which Daredevil stops crime and helps the vulnerable, while gradually developing the tension between Matt's private life and his professional choices. Mark Waid sets a brisk, clever, humorous tone for this volume, allowing the Man Without Fear to find his rhythm again after a dark period. This is Book 4 of the series; its plot follows the "return to New York" arc of issues #1–3 and the aftermath of the clash with Klaw, and it plants seeds for later stories.
Editor's review
