The All-Around Medical King is an urban-themed web novel by the author Weizhang. The protagonist, Chen Yi, is a young traditional Chinese medicine practitioner who dislikes trouble and carries the family secret art of acupuncture known as the "Fuxi Divine Needle." He travels from his hometown to Yanjing to study. After enrolling, he becomes entangled in a series of unusual situations across campus, hospitals, and the city streets: there are thorny and difficult cases as well as conflicts over medical reputation, interests, and human relationships. Set against the collision between Chinese and Western medicine and between traditional healing arts and modern urban life, the story unfolds through Chen Yi's repeated interventions with needles and his pattern-based diagnosis and treatment, developing multiple struggles among doctors and patients, peers and rivals, interspersed with emotional interactions between male and female characters. The work's declarative tagline is "I can save you, and I can kill you," highlighting the protagonist's superb medical skill and his restrained yet sharp-edged persona. The book runs over a million characters, with the number of chapters varying slightly across serialization platforms (commonly just over three hundred).
