Venomized #5 is the finale of this five-issue miniseries, published by Marvel Comics on May 2, 2018, written by Cullen Bunn, drawn by Iban Coello, colored by Matt Yackey, with a cover by Nick Bradshaw. The story picks up right where issue #4 left off: the Venomized Thanos arrives, and Earth's heroes launch a final assault on the base of the Poisons. The Poisons are an alien hive-mind race that can parasitize and take over symbiotes; heroes infected by them lose their sense of self and become part of the hive. In this issue, the Poisons set their sights on Scragg, the giant monster created by Kid Kaiju, attempting to turn it into their most terrifying weapon; Venom and Spider-Man fight their way into the base and clash with Carnage. Meanwhile, Jean Grey, once a host of the Poisons, uses her powerful telepathy to strike back at the Poison Queen, severing the hive connection and causing the Poison collective to collapse; she rebuilds a physical body with her residual power and returns to Earth, reuniting with Cyclops but wondering whether she still counts as human. After the battle, Spider-Man drifts in space, Carnage's whereabouts are unknown, and the ending hints that the Poisons are not entirely gone. This issue is Venomized #5, the final issue of the series.

作为《Venomized》五期迷你系列的收束之作，第5期把“全员共生体化”的奇观推到极致：毒液灭霸、毒药化的英雄、摩天楼高的怪物同场厮杀，几乎每一页都在制造视觉爆点。Cullen Bunn的剧本把决战焦点放在琴·葛蕾身上，让她用心灵感应反制蜂巢意识，这一处理既有逻辑也留下了耐人寻味的伏笔——她重建的身体究竟还是不是人类？这一点为后续故事留出空间。Iban Coello的分镜清晰有力，Matt Yackey的色彩在大规模混战中依然保持了角色辨识度。缺点是篇幅所限，多名角色的收束略显仓促，反派威胁的解决偏快。但如果你追过《Poison X》与《Venomized》前四期，这一期仍值得一口气读完，作为这段共生体狂想的终点。
