Summary

Issue #41 of the Venom series launched in 2011 and published on September 18, 2013, written by Cullen Bunn with interior art by Jorge Coelho and a cover by Declan Shalvey, it is the second part of the "Mania" trilogy. In this issue, demonologist Daimon Hellstrom explains to Flash Thompson (Venom) that Mephisto's brand is no longer on him and appears to have passed to the teenage girl Andi Benton, host of the new symbiote Mania. Flash rushes back to Philadelphia and intervenes in Mania's clash with Lord Ogre; Crossbones and the Master of Mayhem then arrive and summon a demon army from a portal in their chests, unleashing a demonic invasion. In the chaos Lord Ogre is killed by a demon, and the chemical weapon hidden in his body threatens to detonate. Mania reveals the ability to control demons and fights alongside Flash. In the end, Flash has an honest heart-to-heart with the symbiote through a crystal ball, learns why it sent demons after Andi, and decides to "make a deal with the devil." This volume is issue #41 of the series.
