Summary

Through Medusa, Black Bolt conveys that the Inhumans have their own plan to oppose the interdimensional Council of Reeds and do not want Reed interfering. At the same time, in the Baxter Building, Valeria and "little Bentley" continue exploring Reed's secret laboratory; Inhuman warriors in Attilan begin suppressing the riots in Future City, Gorgon battles the evolved Mole Man, the Wizard and A.I.M. choose to retreat, and the High Evolutionary is brought before what he calls the "Ascension Engine." This volume is again written by Hickman with interior art by Steve Epting, advancing "Four Cities" through dense parallel threads; it is a key battle node in the middle of Hickman's Fantastic Four run.
