Summary
This volume is issue #8 of FF (Future Foundation), written by Jonathan Hickman and published in August 2011. Picking up directly after Fantastic Four #588, it is a key installment of the "War of the Four Cities" arc. Following the death of Johnny Storm, the Fantastic Four were reorganized into the Future Foundation, centered on Reed Richards: Invisible Woman Sue Storm, the Thing Ben Grimm, Spider-Man Peter Parker, Valeria, Franklin, and a group of exceptionally gifted young members form the new "first family." The previous two issues had shifted focus to the return of Black Bolt and the Inhumans; this issue returns to the battlefield on Earth: conflict erupts in the Eternal City (the High Evolutionary's "City of Tomorrow"), the Inhumans attempt to claim it for themselves, and Reed must rush to the scene with a makeshift alliance of sworn enemies including Doctor Doom and the Wizard to stop the "Reed Council" from other universes. In this issue, Sue Storm confronts her father-in-law Nathaniel Richards face to face, pressing him on the truth he has concealed; the team also suffers a betrayal from within. The issue advances through tight action and character confrontations, further heating up a war that spans cities and parallel universes.
Editor's review

Not a good fit for

Reading tips
FAQ
