FF #7

This is issue #7 of the FF (Future Foundation) series, written by Jonathan Hickman, published by Marvel on July 27, 2011, with a cover date of September 2011. The story is titled "The Supremor Seed" and is drawn by Greg Tocchini. The series directly follows Fantastic Four #588—after Johnny Storm (the Human Torch) dies in battle in the Negative Zone, the Fantastic Four disband and Reed Richards reorganizes the Future Foundation, with Spider-Man joining. The main thread of this issue focuses on Black Bolt, king of the Inhumans. Previously trapped in the "Fracture," he fought entropic entities in the Great Rift for a long time until the teleporting dog Lockjaw brought him back. On his return, the Inhumans are debating humanitarian aid with Kree representatives on Hala; Black Bolt promptly executes a disrespectful Kree minister with a single shout, then appoints Ronan as Kree regent, while the Inhumans return to the Moon to prepare for the "calling" ritual. Ronan recalls that the Supreme Intelligence once prophesied that he would die beneath "a shout that can shake the stars," and to that end it had already created the "Supremor Seed" and entrusted it to Ronan to hide within his hammer. Meanwhile, Inhuman branches from the Badoon, Centaurian, Kymellian, and Dire Wraith star systems arrive on the Moon one after another to join the Earth Inhumans, and the prophecies of "five brides and one loud-voiced king" gradually come true; while another, darker prophecy—four cities and a war that destroys everything—is also drawing closer. This volume is issue #7 of the series, a setup segment before "War of the Four Cities."
