FF #15

This volume is issue #15 of the 2011 Marvel series FF, titled "The One Where Power Pack Shows Up," released February 29, 2012, with a cover date of April 2012, continuing the Future Foundation storyline that follows Fantastic Four #588. This issue returns the focus to the children in the Baxter Building: as the Mad Celestials force their way across the "bridge" and Reed Richards' fateful confrontation enters its final stage, the young members of the Future Foundation—Valeria Richards, Franklin Richards, Dragon Man, Richards' father Nathaniel, along with the evolved Mole Man and Bentley 23 and others—board a Power Pack ship bound for the "Hub," hoping to destroy the Celestials first. Franklin senses a trap through his psychic link with a mysterious figure; when the evolved Mole Men swarm, Nathaniel discovers that smashing their helmets restores them to normal, and Valeria simply shatters every helmet at once with a high-frequency sonic blast. The children then join the arriving adults, and together they face the overwhelming Celestials, with the story closing on a massive revelation and mirroring the concurrent Fantastic Four issue as a parallel thread. Art is by Nick Dragotta, with colors by Chris Sotomayor. This volume is issue #15 of the series.
