FF #11

FF #11 (published October 26, 2011, with a cover date of December 2011) is titled "Intelligence," written by Jonathan Hickman, penciled by Barry Kitson, and with a cover by Steve Epting. This issue closes out the first half of FF's run under Hickman (issues #1–11) and continues the storyline following Fantastic Four #588: after the Human Torch's death, the Fantastic Four adopt white-and-black uniforms and carry on as the Future Foundation, with Spider-Man joining at the Torch's dying wish. In this issue, "Intelligence," the teleportation device built by Valeria Richards and the others for the Baxter Building has extended its range to three floors, Reed Richards admits to his family how grave the situation is, and Susan decides to bring in "all our friends." The Inhuman city of Attilan is invaded by the Kree; Ronan the Accuser returns with Crystal, now allied with the Kree Empire, and takes two Reed Richardses from parallel universes out of their cells. Meanwhile, on the Negative Zone's "Far Shore," the Anti-Priest makes final preparations to invade Earth, using the device planted in the Baxter Building to amplify the Negative Zone portal; the shadow of Annihilus looms once more. The issue ends with a grand gathering of heroes: Reed explains the threat to the Future Foundation, the Avengers, the New Avengers, the X-Men, the Young Allies, and many others; Captain America takes command, and the skies over New York are soon filled with the Kree fleet. It also implicitly corresponds to Fantastic Four #599 in original numbering, after which the series returns with issue #600. This volume is the eleventh in the series.
