Uncanny Avengers Vol. 2, Book 4

This is Book 4 of the Chinese-imported Uncanny Avengers Vol. 2, corresponding to the English original Uncanny Avengers (2015) #4, a story titled "Counter-Evolutionary: Part 4," written by Rick Remender with art by Daniel Acuña. The volume continues the Unity Squad's operations on Counter-Earth: Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, held captive, confront the High Evolutionary and demand the truth of their origins, overturning their previous understanding of their bloodline and mutant identity; Cerebrus breaks free of the control collar and fights fiercely against the High Evolutionary's "new humans" and his daughter Luminous. Brother Voodoo communicates with the ghosts of eliminated new humans in a ghost-town temple but can grant only one of redemption or revenge. Rogue, after being experimented on by the avian scientist, discovers changes in the ionic power within her. Vision wavers between his old companions and his newly built android family, finally stating his position by opening the laboratory doors; and Sam Wilson, revived after being turned to wood, raises the shield and shouts "Avengers assemble." This is Book 4 of the series; reading it alone may lack setup, so reading the earlier books of the same volume is recommended.
