Summary
This is volume 3 of the Uncanny Avengers series launched in 2015, whose English collected edition is Uncanny Avengers Vol. 3: Civil War II, collecting issues 13 through 17, written by Gerry Duggan with art by Ryan Stegman. The story unfolds during the Civil War II event, and cracks appear within the Avengers Unity Squad: Deadpool risks his Avengers status to carry out a secret mission; Cable confronts Steve Rogers head-on, leaving the team's future hanging by a thread; and Rogue and other mutant members act on their own because the Terrigen Mists continue to poison mutants, clashing with the squad's stance. A shocking decision by Captain America then makes it impossible for the team to return to what it was. Meanwhile, the Hand seizes the bodies of heroes who died in the civil war and tries to resurrect them for its own purposes, a matter tied closely to Doctor Voodoo's personal grief. At the end of this volume, the Red Skull, who has been scheming in the shadows all along, finally makes his move. As volume 3 of the series, it follows the previous two and is best read in order.
