Uncanny Avengers Vol. 24

This volume is the 24th in the Marvel Chinese-language *Avengers* collection series, corresponding to the third volume of *Uncanny Avengers* launched in 2015, written by Gerry Duggan with art by Ryan Stegman, an important branch of the Avengers line during the All-New, All-Different Marvel era. The story follows on the long-running friction between the Avengers and the X-Men: the spread of Terrigen Mist brings the conflict between mutants and Inhumans to a boil; an elderly Steve Rogers steps forward again to reassemble the Unity Squad, a team dedicated to promoting reconciliation among humans, mutants, and Inhumans, with Rogue leading from the front. The roster is notably motley: veteran heroes Human Torch and Quicksilver, Doctor Voodoo, the young Inhuman Synapse, and Deadpool—who joins as a mercenary, the last person suited to preach "unity." The new team faces a crisis in Boston right from the start, when a relative transformed into an out-of-control energy being throws the city into chaos, forcing Synapse to confront the dilemma between blood and duty. The squad then travels to Weirdworld on an escort mission, is drawn into the "Avengers: Standoff!" event, and faces a Hulk controlled by the Hand in the aftermath of *Civil War II*.
