Summary

This is the 18th volume of the Chinese edition of The Flash in the "American Comics · DC Superhero Comics" series. The series centers on Barry Allen after DC's "New 52" relaunch: Barry Allen, a scientist at the Central City Police Department, becomes the fastest man alive—the Flash—after a lightning strike and chemical accident, and is drawn into the vortex of the Speed Force and time. In this run by Manapul and Buccellato, Barry investigates the truth behind his mother's murder and hunts the man who killed her, while contending with old foes such as the Rogues led by Captain Cold; the Rogues claim to abide by a code of "no killing, no drugs, just winning," yet split from within amid power shifts and betrayal, bringing grave danger to Central City. Speed gives him power but also constantly confronts him with questions of identity and responsibility: he must choose between the ordinary life of "Barry Allen" and the mission of "the Flash."
