Suppressing the Heavens

Suppressing All Heavens is a xianxia fantasy web novel by Yan Hanyi, serialized on Baidu Novels. Set in a world of cultivation, it weaves themes of reincarnation, karma, and immortality into a grand narrative spanning the void and the Three Realms. The protagonist is Zhang Tianhe, known as the "Dao Immortal." The story begins after his ascension, as he continues his climb from that height toward even greater realms, seeking ultimate answers to immortality and karma. Centered on the core goal of "suppressing all heavens," the book features him founding factions, building his foundation, gathering a golden dragon of fortune, and confronting the will of heaven head-on, with power struggles and cultivation breakthroughs advancing in turn. Its setting blends traditional xianxia elements with martial cultivation and time-space travel, unfolding its worldview layer by layer. The novel opens with a poem that sets the theme: "With heroic spirit the sword points to the sky; how much vicissitude has changed the face. The quest for deathlessness is nowhere found; the body dies, the Dao fades, yet the mind dwells on immortality. How hateful that this day is not an endless night; all karma returns in reincarnation. When at last reincarnation is breached, alone I shall suppress the ninefold heaven." Beyond its passionate conquests, the work also repeatedly examines the obsessions of cultivators and the ultimate truth of the world, making it a male-oriented fantasy that emphasizes grand scope and philosophical reflection.
