Author Hong Futu writes with typical fast-paced momentum: the protagonist Chu Tang starts from the low position of a so-called "pariah," and immediately after his awakening his status is reversed. From there he devours bloodlines, refines pills, lays formations, and tempers his body, with nearly every stretch offering clear growth feedback and a hard-fought victory. For readers who want "fighting above one's level and winning vindication," this book delivers reliably. The worldbuilding is also fairly rich: the Great Emperor's Heart, dual cultivation of martial arts and formations, the Invincible Imperial Body, the World-Suppressing Evil Halberd, and the dao patterns and condensed bloodline power on divine weapons together form a layered power system that can sustain long-term progression. At over three million characters and nearly a thousand chapters in a complete edition, it offers a substantial read for those who want to binge straight through. A caveat: the prose is plain and prioritizes plot momentum; literary quality and character depth are not its strengths, and the early setup and plot beats bear many traces of old-school fantasy. Approached as relaxing, stress-relieving entertainment, it is a more enjoyable experience.
