The author writes with a touch of marketplace flavor; the stall cries, artifact prices, and spirit-stone conversions of Fengming City are rendered vividly, giving the cultivation world a lived-in warmth. Moreover, the "Carefree Fire Path" system and the protagonist's tactics, which favor coordination over solo fighting, add a little novelty to the power-fantasy formula. To be fair, though: at over 1.27 million characters and 363 chapters, the early pace is slow and the romance takes up considerable space, so readers who want fast, hardcore leveling may find it tepid; some battle descriptions and subplot resolutions are also somewhat rushed. It is better read as a slow-burn, slightly old-school long xianxia than approached as a masterpiece.
