Ultramodern Magician

Ultramodern Magician is a multiverse infinite-flow work by Wu Wei Yao Nie, serialized on Qidian and completed at roughly 2.65 million Chinese characters. The protagonist, Zhou Chao, is a young man in the real world who, after repeatedly dreaming for days of a blue light pillar exploding and otherworldly teleportation, builds a copper-wire magic circle in his rented room exactly as seen in the dream—accidentally activating a genuine world-crossing ability. Thereafter he shuttles between the parallel universes of multiple works: first arriving in Iron Man's world, where, using foreknowledge of the plot, he strikes a partnership with Tony Stark and obtains arc reactor technology and AI-related results; then in Infinite Stratos, Ip Man, Harry Potter, Type-Moon, Academy City, The Irregular at Magic High School, and other settings he collects technology, fills in magic-related theory, verifies the compatibility of supernatural laws, and builds his own research bases and networks between worlds. Unlike common one-way plundering transmigration fiction, the book emphasizes knowledge integration and system reconstruction: magic is studied as a quantifiable, reproducible, engineerable natural law, and the protagonist grows from a technical practitioner into a rebuilder of rules. At the end, he anchors a floating island in the crevice between the main world and other dimensions and opens a portal connecting all realms.
