Flora (Part One) is the first volume of Vivibear's modern romance novel Flora. The title is taken from Titian's famous Renaissance painting Flora. The story revolves around Gong Liuxia, a Chinese girl studying painting: ten years ago, in the seaside town of Positano in southern Italy, she met a beautiful Italian boy painting among daisies; ten years later, in Rome, she is reunited with the mysterious Count Alfonso and gradually draws close to his hidden other identity — a decision-maker for the Italian EE organization. The book begins with "Rome, Where the Dream Begins" and unfolds the reunion, past events, a trip to Verona, the Count's castle and private gallery, the appearance of the young assassin Mirante, and the undercurrents between family and organization, advancing the relationship between the two amid art, love, and danger. Part One contains a prologue and chapters 1 through 36, ending with "The Count's Return" and leaving suspense for the revelations and finale of Part Two. The work continues the author's signature blend of foreign romance and suspense, with scenes spanning Rome, Verona, Naples, and elsewhere.

The story revolves around Gong Liuxia, a Chinese girl studying painting: ten years ago, in Positano, a seaside town in southern Italy, she encountered a beautiful young Italian man painting amid a field of daisies; ten years later, in Rome, she is reunited with the mysterious Count Alfonso and gradually draws closer to his hidden other identity—the decision-maker of Italy's EE organization. The book begins with "Rome, Where the Dream Begins" and unfolds such plotlines as the reunion, past events, a trip to Verona, the Count's castle and private art gallery, the appearance of the young assassin Mirante, and the undercurrents between family and organization, advancing the relationship between the two amid art, love, and danger. Part One comprises a prologue and Chapters 1 through 36, concluding with "The Count's Return," leaving suspense for the revelation of truth and the finale in Part Two. The work continues the author's signature blend of exotic romance and suspense, with scenes spanning Rome, Verona, Naples, and other locales.

Editor's review

Who it's for

A good fit for

Not a good fit for

Reading tips
