U.S.Avengers Vol. 2

U.S.Avengers is the Avengers series Marvel launched during the MARVEL NOW! 2.0 era, written by British scripter Al Ewing with art by Paco Medina, serialized in the United States from January 2017. In the story, the advanced-tech firm Mechanics (A.I.M.) partners with the U.S. military and is reorganized as American Intelligence Mechanics; the Brazilian mutant Sunspot, Roberto da Costa, takes on the new identity of Citizen V and assembles a star-spangled team of heroes, including the second Red Hulk, Robert Maverick; Squirrel Girl, Doreen Green; Cannonball, Sam Guthrie; the enigmatic POD, Aikku Jokinen; and Toni Ho, wearing the Iron Patriot armor. This team guards more than the American homeland, facing bizarre threats from the future and the cosmos, including the future-timeline Captain America, Danielle Cage, and her archenemy, the Golden Skull. This book is Volume 2 of the Chinese edition collection of the series. Because the specific issues and contents collected in this volume could not be verified, no plot details are invented here; overall, it continues the series' style of patriotic hero team plus absurd humor plus event tie-ins, involving the Golden Skull's takeover plot, a robot-duplicate scandal at a Miami charity gala, Red Hulk's confrontation with the American Kaiju, and the infiltration of the team by Hydra and the scattering of its members during the Secret Empire event. Readers are advised to read Volume 1 before this volume to avoid difficulty connecting character relationships and event backgrounds.
