Robin Vol. 11

This volume is the eleventh installment of the Robin series, corresponding to Robin (Vol. 4) #11, published in the 1990s when Tim Drake struck out on his own as Robin. The stories of this period center on Tim Drake, the third Robin: he shuttles between high school life and detective training in Gotham while facing adversaries and choices few ordinary teenagers could imagine. This volume continues the Gotham situation around major events such as "Prodigal," weaving together the investigative threads of Batman, Two-Face, and the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD), while also portraying Tim's relationships with his father Jack Drake and his schoolmates, so that the boy beneath the cape comes across as real. The issues collected here were written chiefly by Chuck Dixon and others, with artwork and storytelling bearing a distinct 1990s DC style; the material was later collected in editions such as Batman: Prodigal, standing as a transitional chapter in the Batman family saga that nonetheless captures Robin's growth of character. Because the specific publication details of the Chinese edition remain unverified, those fields have been left blank; the description above is written cautiously on the basis of the series background and does not touch on specific plot details.
