The Peerless Divine Physician

The Peerless Divine Physician is a long urban supernatural novel by the web author Ye Tiannan (real name Liu Feng). It began serialization on Qidian on October 18, 2012, and was completed in 2015, running to roughly 1,294 chapters and more than three million characters. It is his medical-themed follow-up to Super Doctor. The story opens on a high-school graduation trip: the protagonist, Jiang Yuan, is taken along by a special-ops squad as their unit medic. The mission fails and the entire squad is wiped out, leaving him no way out. In the end he detonates himself while clutching the mysterious object the squad had seized.
