From this point, the notorious profligate of Xianyang begins to transform: he awakens the true dragon bloodline, practices the dual path of Dao and martial arts, gathers talents such as the strategist Guo Jia, a product of the Ghost Valley Academy, and Wang Meng, the logistics chief known as the "Wang Family Steward," and later leads three thousand armored troops to conquer the world, rising through the twin tracks of court intrigue and bloody battlefield combat to become the mighty Prince of Wu'an. The book begins with "profligate" and ends with "Villain Emperor of All Ages," weaving in conflicts such as the assassination by the Four True Ones of the North Sea and the conspiracy atop Mount Zhongnan, and unfolding fantasy settings such as the Ink Armor Cambrian and the Nine Mystic Divine Lord. It is another vast dynastic-conquest work by Kaifeng after Eight Desolations Demon-Slaying Record, Raging Across a Thousand Armies, and Divine Radiance.
