Summary
07-GHOST (also known as Seven Ghosts) is a fantasy manga set in an original world, created by Yukino Amamiya and Yuki Ichihara. It has been serialized in Monthly Comic ZERO-SUM since 2005 and spans 17 collected volumes; the Chinese edition is published by Ever Glory Publishing. The story takes place a thousand years ago in a world divided between two great powers: the Barsburg Empire, protected by the Eye of Raphael, and the Raggs Kingdom, protected by the Eye of Michael. After the fall of the Raggs Kingdom, the amnesiac boy Teito Klein attends the Imperial Army's military academy. One day he learns that both his father and the priest who raised him died at the hands of the Imperial Army, and he is forced to flee. In a church in District 7 he meets a group of bishops with special identities, and the three bishops known as the Seven Ghosts, along with seven legendary spirits, enter his fate. The story follows Teito as he seeks the hidden past of himself and the world, the truth of the Eye of Michael, and escape from the Imperial Army's pursuit, in a style leaning toward dark Gothic fantasy and youthful adventure. This is Volume 66 of the series; for the exact contents, please refer to the physical book.
Editor's review
