The story follows Jiang Fan as he establishes himself in the city through medicine, breaks his own curse, and gradually ascends to higher realms, interwoven with his interactions with multiple female characters. Overall, it is a typical "doctor genre" urban power-fantasy: a nobody rises against the odds through a unique skill, slaps down villains, heals the sick, and advances on twin tracks of romantic conquest and growing strength.
