Heir of the Divine Blood

Heir of the Divine Blood is a long fantasy novel by the web novelist Geng Su. The story takes place on the continent of the "Middle Land," centered on the Qinglan Empire. The Qinglan Empire is the largest empire on this continent, ruled by the Tanna imperial clan, and Mohe Bocen, Left Minister of the Imperial Privy Council and head of the Mohe family, one of the three great families, holds enormous power. To avoid the political storm over the position of imperial heir, he resigns his office and position and travels far to the Yan Yun Wasteland, where he meets Su Mingyan, an academy servant who looks remarkably like the current sixth prince, and lays an astonishing scheme: to have this low-born servant impersonate a dissolute prince. The novel blends martial arts, sorcery, wild beasts, and mysterious races, with court intrigue and wars within and beyond the empire as its main threads, interspersed with romantic entanglements involving palace beauties, Lujialuo women, and noble ladies, following an overall long-form wish-fulfillment path of "the lowly growing stronger step by step."
