Coiling Dragon is a long fantasy novel by I Eat Tomatoes, following The Legend of Star Peak, Inch of Light, and Stellar Transformations, and was first serialized on Qidian Chinese Network. The story takes place in a magical world called the Yulan Continent: one of the four legendary ultimate warriors, the Dragonblood Warrior, has not appeared for a thousand years, and the only family that carries his bloodline, the Baruch clan, has declined into ordinary minor nobility in a small town. The clan heir, an eight-year-old boy named Linley Baruch, happens upon a seemingly ordinary ring in a dusty ancestral home—the Coiling Dragon Ring—and from then on embarks on a wondrous journey of growth. Using earth magic and stone sculpting as its fulcrums, the work unfolds a worldview in which warrior ranks, magical beast combat, magical systems, and family bloodlines intertwine; from studying at the Ernst Institute and training in the Magical Beast Mountain Range to bloodline awakening and planar warfare, it depicts the protagonist's rise from an ordinary boy to a peak powerhouse step by step. This book is the official publication of the complete 2012 revised edition (four volumes) from Taibai Literature and Art Publishing House, one of the more widely circulated paper editions of this very long web novel. Translated into English by RWX, the work spread on overseas websites and is one of the earlier Chinese web fantasy novels to be fully translated and widely accepted by Western readers.
