About the author
Philippa Gregory is a British historical novelist born in 1954 in Nairobi, Kenya, who later moved to Britain. Writing against the backdrop of the Tudor dynasty and the Wars of the Roses, she is known for retelling the fates of power and marriage from the perspective of court women. Her representative work, The Other Boleyn Girl, won the Romantic Novelists' Association's annual award and was adapted into a film, earning her the title "queen of British historical fiction." Classified under foreign literature, sixteen of her works are included in the collection, among them the collector's editions of The White Queen, The Other Queen, The Boleyn Inheritance, The Queen's Fool, The Taming of the Queen, and The King's Curse, as well as the seven-volume Plantagenet and Tudor series, with narratives that emphasize historical atmosphere and character psychology.
