G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers: The Art of War is a five-issue miniseries published by Devil's Due Publishing in 2006, written by Tim Seeley, a longtime writer of G.I. Joe, penciled by Joe Ng, with Alex Milne and James Raiz also contributing art. The story follows the previous two DDP crossovers: after Megatron is shut down and the disastrous space-time accident on Cybertron, the Autobots have for a time clearly advanced their front against the Decepticons. Then Cobra raids the G.I. Joe base on Earth and accidentally releases Serpent O.R., a super-soldier built by the U.S. government using Cybertronian technology—implanted with the knowledge of Earth's great commanders through history and with Megatron's own personality, it is almost unstoppable. Serpent O.R. then travels to Cybertron and regroups the scattered Decepticons into a fearsome army aimed at the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. G.I. Joe members including Hawk, Snake Eyes and Scarlett must team up with the Autobots and fight on two fronts, on Earth and on Cybertron. This volume is the second of the series; the Chinese edition was translated by a fan scanlation group and is not an official publication, so please refer to the physical copy for binding and page count.
