This is issue #6 of the Catwoman series after DC's "New 52" relaunch, originally titled "Welcome to the Hard Way." Selina Kyle has been captured this time—arrested by the Gotham City Police Department and held at the station, but the police have no intention of giving her that "one phone call," because what they want is not justice but what she stole from them. Amid interrogation and threats, Selina is forced to confront her most tangled relationship: Batman. In the first five issues, writer Judd Winick steadily built the ambivalent attraction between the thief and the vigilante; this issue brings the conflict to a head: what Batman has done for her, the corruption of the Gotham police, and her own addiction to danger all surface in a single confrontation. Written by Judd Winick and drawn by Guillem March, this issue runs 20 pages and belongs to the series' early "dark, violent, focused on Selina's instincts and desires" phase—one of the key turning points in the main storyline of Catwoman's New 52 Volume 1.
