Sniper King is the debut novel of web author Kuangxiao. It began serialization on Qidian Chinese Network in early 2005 and was completed in 2007, totaling over 630 chapters and roughly 2.55 million characters. It is regarded as one of the representative works of Qidian's military fantasy genre. The story is set in a near-future world with an apocalyptic tone: as humanity's technology explodes, it also unearths the legacy of the ancient Atlantis civilization, and nations engage in fierce competition over alien and prehistoric technology. The protagonist 13 is a member of Special Service Team Seven and the "king of individual soldiers" of Country Z; his number is his code name.
