Flowing Cloud Sword is a full-length traditional wuxia novel by Tiaomianwo, serialized on 17K Novel Network from August 2014 to July 2015. After reemerging in the jianghu, he first meets the beautiful swordswoman Xia Yun, then is drawn into open and covert struggles among the Seven Demons of Dongting, the Purple Robe Sect of Luoyang, the Embroidered Uniform Guard, and the Tang Sect young master Tang Qie; the origins of the Flowing Cloud Sword Manual and the duels of the "Six Forms of Leveling Heaven" also gradually surface amid one storm after another. Unlike common tales of gratified vengeance, the book keeps its protagonist trapped in dilemmas: "follow Heaven or defy Heaven," "save people or kill people." What does it mean to hold a sword yet have no sword in the heart? The author sets jianghu conflicts within the great tides of the late Ming, writing from battles beyond the Yinshan passes to campaigns in the southern frontier and court intrigue, so that one assassin's self-redemption and one dynasty's decay mirror each other.

这是一本被「慢热」二字耽误了的传统武侠。开篇没有主角逆天奇遇、没有一炷香内连斩三派高手，而是一个逃奴出身的杀手，在雪地里背着师父的遗言重新走进江湖。苕面窝写江湖，写的是人情与算计：生死大敌可以对坐把酒，正派名宿也会为一纸名声相互倾轧，热闹背后总有一层世故的冷。 它的好处在于「稳」。招式有来路，剑意有层次，从「手中有剑、心中有剑」到「手中无剑、心中有剑」的追问，把武学写成了一道关于自我约束的哲学题。作者又有意把故事放进天启年间的真实时局里，让江湖仇杀与边事、党争彼此咬合，格局比一般网文要大。 不是没有缺点：八百余章、两百余万字的体量，前中期节奏偏缓，日常段落与闲笔不少，习惯了强冲突快节奏的读者容易在前几十章失去耐心。但只要熬过铺垫，后半程南疆征战与朝堂权谋的收束相当有力度。适合愿意细读、喜欢古龙式留白与明末历史氛围的武侠读者。
