Martial Arts Over the World

Martial Arts Over the World is a long fantasy-martial arts novel of the ancient martial arts + mecha genre by Ten Years of Snowfall (pen name; serialized on Qidian), a contracted author on Qidian, published in volumes by Hunan People's Publishing House in 2013. The protagonist, Zhou Wenlue, has just turned twenty; despite years of training, he has always been judged "neither accomplished in letters nor in martial arts," a martial arts failure looked down on by others. By chance, he discovers a mysterious jade slip in the purple mansion of his mind, containing tens of thousands of peerless martial arts — The Art of Longevity, Tendon-Changing Classic, Beiming Divine Art, Six Meridians Divine Sword, and Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms are merely beginner's options. The jade slip draws him into a dreamlike space of training and combat, with demonic tiered purgatories and ever more intense martial duels. Within a few months, his combat power keeps breaking new records; one classic encounter after another makes him the most dazzling legend among the new generation of martial artists, and he gradually becomes entangled in conflicts between interstellar powers and martial sects, advancing toward the declaration of "setting the flames of war across the entire universe." The author died suddenly a few hours after updating the final chapter on the evening of June 16, 2013, leaving the book unfinished; Hunan People's Publishing House, together with Qidian and Dangdang, compiled and published the first three volumes (Wild Dance of Dreams, Dragon Battle at Soul Hall, Nine Transformations Against Heaven) as a public-benefit project, donating one yuan to the author's family for each copy sold beyond royalties.
