The Lucky Emperor

The Lucky Emperor is a long-form web science fiction novel by Cang Zhi, completed on Qidian on April 3, 2018, and published simultaneously on China Mobile's He Yue platform. It runs about 2.21 million characters and 670 chapters (including related material, the main text, VIP volumes, and extras). The story is set in a future world where land has largely sunk and the ocean dominates, and "admiral" has become the most important profession of the age. The protagonist, Aaron, is an orphan of the Pacific Governor's Office; after passing the admiral exam, he embarks on running a naval base through a shipgirl construction system—pressing the construction button may bring an unexpected shipgirl. The first to come to him include the swimsuit-clad blonde little girl "Albacore," followed by Richelieu (Sister Li), Nagato, Akagi, Yamato, Tirpitz (Northern Homestay), and others. The main plot revolves around recruiting and resource management at the naval base, confrontations with the deep-sea fleet, and the World Naval Conference, interspersed with humorous daily interactions between the admiral and the shipgirls—Nagato demanding a midnight snack, lodging at the Yamato Hotel, Northern Homestay peddling doujinshi—which set the light, comedic tone. Beneath the science fiction shell, the work incorporates mecha and mechanical technology elements and expands into star-sea voyages and time-space travel. The ending closes with Aaron and Richelieu's wedding, bringing the growth and adventures of this "lucky emperor" admiral to a close.
