Gun Flame is a long-running fantasy web novel by the online author Dusk Dawn, first serialized on Zongheng Chinese Network. It runs about 2.27 million Chinese characters across eight volumes and roughly 900 chapters, and is complete. The story is set in a world where countless universes and infinite planes grind against one another: technological, cultivation, magical, and battle-aura civilizations develop in parallel within their own planes, then collide under higher-order rules. The protagonist is a boy raised in a wasteland world after a nuclear war. Starting from standoffs with firearms against mutant creatures in the wild, he claws his way up through life-and-death fights and hard-won opportunities, gradually breaking free of the rules that bind the lower planes and ascending toward higher ones. The core appeal lies in the collision of two forces, "gun" and "flame": the duel between a marksman who never misses and psychics who command lightning and thunder runs through the entire book.
