Star Hidden

Star Hidden is a long-form web novel by the online author "Rainbow at the Horizon," in the ancient martial arts mecha genre. It was first serialized on Qidian and is now complete, totaling about three million characters. The protagonist, Zhang Qiang, comes from a major family in a certain civilization. As a child, the spaceship he was aboard had an accident during a space jump. He survived by chance and lived alone on an uninhabited planet for twelve years, developing his skills through constant fighting and survival. He later returns to human society and grows by maneuvering among different factions and civilizations through mecha piloting and personal combat prowess. The novel's main threads are mecha operation, technological research and development, interstellar exploration, and civilizational conflict, and it also includes passages such as desert survival, mecha piloting performances, exploration of space ruins, and space battles. Its style leans toward hot-blooded power fantasy and hard-edged combat, interspersed with romantic threads. The final chapter describes Zhang Qiang and Li Yue crossing a black hole to reach the Kingdom of Ease; the mecha goes from one to seven and then merges into one, through which the protagonist grasps the mecha realm of "union of heaven and humanity, no self and no mecha," and looks back at the starting point of his childhood spaceship accident, bringing the story to a close.
