Fighting Immortals

Fighting Immortals is an urban cultivation web novel by author Tiandaoshi, serialized on Qidian Chinese Network (also once published on 17K), about 1,198,200 characters and roughly 592 chapters, and is complete. The story begins with a late-night emergency: Cai Sheng, a young brain specialist at Anping Hospital, receives a patient with bizarre injuries, is drawn into an accident involving cultivators, and thereby obtains a mysterious ancient book of unknown origin, Records of the Immortal Feathers Soaring the Heavens. The ancient book, which floats and glows and has blank pages, merges into his sea of consciousness and pushes an ordinary doctor who knows only how to wield a scalpel onto the path of cultivation. He then identifies yin and yang spiritual energy, shapes true essence, breaks through realms, and ventures with companions among cultivation sects and demon and devil forces: fighting a snake demon to save the Bayan people, drawing earth fire to battle a heavenly demon, straying into the Black Prison and an ancient immortal formation, gradually touching the ancient secrets behind the conflicts among the human, demon, and devil realms. The book takes "fighting" as its backbone—fighting heaven's timing, earth's advantage, human harmony, and inner demons—telling of a healer constantly choosing between "saving one life" and "bearing responsibility for three realms," rising step by step from mortal to higher realms. The work is structured in multiple volumes; the first is Immortal Feathers Soaring the Heavens, followed by volumes such as Startling the Seas, and Howling Heavenly Demon Blade.
